Terms and Conditions for the Download and Use of the “EU AI Act Compliance Checklist”
These Terms and Conditions govern the access to, download of, and use of the resource entitled “EU AI Act Compliance Checklist” (the “Resource”), made available by BLINDSTAIRS, S.L., with registered office at Passatge Mercantil 2, 08003, Barcelona tax identification number B72661960, and email address hello@blindstairs.com (“BlindStairs”, the “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By submitting the form enabled for this purpose and downloading the Resource, the user acknowledges having read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
1. Purpose of the Resource
The Resource is provided for information purposes only and is intended to offer general guidance regarding certain obligations that may arise under the European Union regulatory framework on artificial intelligence, including the AI Act.
The Resource does not constitute legal advice, regulatory advice, professional consulting services, or a binding legal assessment of the user’s situation, organisation, products, or activities.
2. Access and permitted use
The Resource is made available free of charge in exchange for the user providing certain identification and contact details through the corresponding form.
The user may download and use the Resource solely for lawful purposes and for their own internal, personal or business evaluation purposes.
Unless expressly authorised in writing by BlindStairs, the user may not:
- reproduce, distribute, sublicense, commercialise, publish or make the Resource available to third parties on a standalone basis;
- modify, transform, adapt or create derivative works from the Resource for commercial exploitation;
- remove notices relating to intellectual or industrial property rights.
3. Intellectual and industrial property
All intellectual and industrial property rights over the Resource, its contents, structure, design, texts, graphics, distinctive signs and any related materials are owned by, or licensed to, BlindStairs.
Access to or download of the Resource does not imply any transfer, assignment, licence or waiver of rights, except for the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
4. Disclaimer
BlindStairs makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the Resource is useful, accurate and up to date at the time of publication. However, BlindStairs does not guarantee that the Resource is complete, error-free, permanently updated, or suitable for any specific purpose.
The user remains solely responsible for verifying the legal and regulatory implications applicable to their specific case and for obtaining independent professional advice where appropriate.
BlindStairs shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages, losses, decisions, penalties, liabilities, business impacts or consequences arising from the use of, or reliance upon, the Resource.
5. Availability and modifications
BlindStairs reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to modify, update, replace, restrict or discontinue the Resource or these Terms and Conditions.
The version published at the time of the download shall apply, without prejudice to any mandatory legal provisions that may apply.
6. Personal data
The personal data provided by the user through the download form shall be processed in accordance with the applicable data protection legislation and with our Privacy Policy.
The submission of the form for the purpose of obtaining the Resource does not, by itself, imply consent to receive commercial communications, unless the user has expressly granted such consent by ticking the corresponding optional box.
7. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Spanish law.
Any dispute arising from the interpretation, validity or enforcement of these Terms and Conditions shall be submitted to the courts and tribunals of Barcelona, SPAIN, unless mandatory consumer or other applicable legal provisions provide otherwise.
